'List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your Spring. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to'.
Ok, here goes:
- Damian Jr. Gong Marley - The Mission I first heard this getting dropped by Rodigan @ the Black Swan back in Feb 2008. He did so many rewinds of the tune I was instantly hooked, and have been blasting it out ever since! It's on his MySpace now, so go check it out! Or download the April Goatlab Radio show : it's on there too!
- Tanya Stevens - It's A Pity (DSC Remix) DSC is Stivs and Ed Cox from Life4Land in Cambridge, who are just killing it for me right now (check out Stivs' new album on Death$ucker!). This remix also gets dropped on the March Goatlab Radio show. Check the DSC MySpace for more bootlegs and mashups!
- Tweet - Oops (Oh My) Feat. Fabolous (Hudson Mohawke) More mashup business, this time from Glaswegian producer Hudson Mo who has just been signed to Warp Records! This track and many other good mashups turned up in the post as a demo for Death$ucker, but looks like I missed the boat!
- Venetian Snares - Eurocore MVP Super jungle-ravecore from Snares on his new album 'Detrimentalist' on Planet Mu. Get it @ DSWAT.net now!!!
- Michael Montano - Madder Dan Dat (Ghislain Poirier Remix) I'm loving Ghislain Poirier stuff at the moment, and this baby is just full of summer vibes! Pounding bass and Soca riddims at 150 bpm. If you want to download it check the "Track of the Week" on Mashit.com.
- Kamerat Tord - Loona OMG! this guy is just fucking amazing! Hailing from Norway, Kamerat Tord chops up breakcore, jungle and IDM in a unique and highly addictive fashion. I think it was Acrnym who tipped me to this guy! Check out his MySpace and some of his live sets!!!
- Himuro Yoshiteru - Wet You Ume from Murder Channel in Tokyo sent me a copy of Himuro Yoshiteru's new 12" "Welcome Myself EP" which is lushious and beautifully crafted. It's IDM in the vein of Wisp or The Flashbulb, but has that extra something that stands it apart from the rest. Check out his MySpace for some audio samples!
Ok, now here are seven people who I'd like to know what they're listening to right now:
Aaron Spectre,
Anarchist606,
Bong-Ra,
DJ C,
Jason Forrest,
Stivs,
The Doubtful Guest and
Ume

Great list and I agree with you about the Loona track from Kamerat Tord. It has been one of my faves for quite some time.
You should release his work on Death$ucker :)
